  • ds3 and children

Been looking around at possible new car. Looked at DS4 DSPORT nd the DS5 sport. Really don't want to get rid of the ds3. Wondering if it is possible to run the car with children.

The car seat, for my just turned 5 year old, barely fits past the folded forwards front seat. Something to keep in mind if the seat is changed between cars. No problems getting her in and out of the car or strapped in to the seat.

I run my ds3 with two kids and I find it ok , in fact the kids love it !! To be me it's just like running a Peugeot 206 or something similar just a better looking car and keeps dad looking cool ! (ahem! )

got to admit i struggle to get car seat between front seat and frame. its do able especially if ur leavin seat in the back but if u take it in n out like me thn can get tricky. all good fun tho

( 2 yr old with big seat) although i cant fasten her in without breakin my back doin gymnastics so leave it to her mum lol

My ex lass had a girl 12 and lad 7. They both loved being in the back and more often than not would just fall asleep- back seats are actually very comfy.

Only drawback is that with a booster seat the children's legs don't bend at the knee normally so their legs tend to jut straight out- work around- middle seat or make sure your front passenger is awful short and can pump the seat up and have it forwards.

PINKEMILY - We managed a newborn and a Mini. It was a pain when he got heavier, but i recommend getting a car seat base so that you don't have the faff of strapping it in and out every time, just a quick click and away you go!

I don't see what the problem is, used to occasionally have a car seat in my MR2 Roadster

Haha! My brother had a carseat in his lotus Elise. Shame my nephew hated the noise it made

The MR2 was more refined when it came to engine, road & wind noise in the cabin. I believe a radio was an optional extra in the Elise because you couldn't hear it once the engine was running

Does not surprise me, I think my nephew lasted 10 minutes until my bro had to bring him home haha

Go for the Ds4 I traded my ds3 for the ds4 and whilst I loved the ds3 I really love the ds4.

I have no regrets apart from a poor ds4 forum lol

If they bring out the ds4 racing then I may consider having kids lol
