ffs my local doesn't even have a THP in stock to test drive >_<

I'd also like to take this moment to say, that my car was quite possibly cleaner than any of their demonstrators ^^

      Bigfeet

I was ordering a company car and it was to be the 120 bhp petrol DStyle+,
they only had a diesel which was no good as a car I am going to be driving 2500 miles a month, I wanted to test the actual one.
I have ordered one anyway without a test drive and will be with me in 13 days so I can't really complain; my gripe is being told somebody would be doing something for me then doing sweet F.A.

I will however not be using that garage for all the servicing etc, would rather drive an extra ten miles to next nearest garage

I hope you're not intent on going to the Oldham pentagon branch mate - I think I've read numerous reports of them being rather crap when it comes to servicing

Can you go in and do the test drive, then put my name in the draw. Then when I win I will fly over, collect my car and shout you a pint or two

          Cheers

Would love too mate, but it's only open to UK residents...

Most demos are really used as company cars by dealer staff, but that's no excuse for not keeping them clean. When I run my company vans (tax dodge!) I always washed them every morning.

Would have thought the diesel would have been the better choice? Granted it does depend on the area when it comes to demos. We have delivered many DS3's and in the last two years only 3 of them have been petrols!

I can definatley vouch for that statement lol. Needless to say, when I've tied up my loose ends with the garage I'm off to have my racing serviced elsewhere. The guy who was caught speeding in my THP happens to be the man who PDI my racing. That went down well.

I got 2 test drives in racings, one white one black, before I bought one and the one I bought came from somewhere else again. The one I got was registered to the dealership and there general manager used it for 7000 miles. They definatley didn't get the email saying for customer order only.
My gain though, the cars great!

Something to point out guys is that dealers will only put on demos for popular models and ones that they know they can sell on at the end of the term, it's not possible or really feasible to have very engine version on a demo fleet. Bear in mind that the demo cars belong to the dealership and not Citroen so it's a bit harsh to complain when a dealer doesn't have "X" model for you to drive.

in a prefect world yes the dealers demo fleet would be huge and everybody would be happy, normally your dealer will try and offer a suitable car to drive (we often put customers out in a C3 we have in order to try the petrol engine) but sometimes even this is not possible.

You're telling me the DS3 isn't popular enough to have 2 of each? My guy had 1 VTI

Not quiet, Citroen does have rules in place regarding demos where large dealerships may have to put on two of certain models and smaller dealerships only one.

My THP sold in less than a week when I part ex'd it. Had every option so it saved someone having to wait for a new factory order
