The biggest hurdle with hydrogen is getting it. To "crack" it from water uses a hell of a lot of power iirc so actually less green than petrol or electric in real terms as far as im aware
My Council is now looking at fitting charging stations on our car parks (Car parks will be the garages of the future - you heard it here first!).
As it's my project I am looking at solar stations. Bit like a bike shed with solar panels on the roof that can charge 3 vehicles at a time and push spare current into the nearest building when not being used. Win win!
Also encourages people back to the High Street - who knows they might even shop locally whilst being charged up!
Chiltern District Council had to fit two charging points in at least one car park per village. Only ever seen one Nissan Leaf being charged up outside the Council offices in Milton Keynes

Cheers Adi - bit chicken and egg - no one will buy one if there's nowhere to charge them. No one wants to put chargers up if no ones buying them. Gotta start somewhere!
