  • Anything to look out for on new 150thp

    Hi all

I'm collecting my new 150 thp next sat after trading back my 110hdi after 10 months,
The hdi was great but had a few issues. Hence going for the petrol this time plus the deal
    Was very good indeed,

So are there any problems or issues I should be aware of ,
I have heard about this pipe deletion under the bonnet but have no idea wat it is or weather it's something I need to do it on a new car or at a later date, I know the mini does not have it and the ds4 doesn't have it so can it be deleted ??

Also a good filter to through in?

    Many thanks

    R.

Wow, you're brave. Changing from a model hardly anyone has had problems with to the one that has the most problems. However, there are also plenty who have had no problems. Check out the suggested links at the bottom of the page or use the search facility.

You'll love the THP Rufus- there are a few things you can do but my advice would be to leave alone, at least to start
I'm almost 16000 miles in with my THP and its been great. No PCV delete or nothing
Could get a performance filter but you wont notice a lot
My only advice- stick V-Power or BP Ultimate fuel in all the time
As the Chinese takeaway shops and AJ07 says- ENJOY!

Mine is on 17,000 miles, never missed a beat.....So it's served me well.

Anything to watch out for - people in front who think cars are for driving reservedly! 0-60 in 7 secs or so is there to be used, stuff the mpg!

(do fancy trying a 110 Diesel for the fun of it for a year maybe though!).

ps if it's new it will be the 155 - which I think has had all the 'problems' removed....

          Regards,
          Clive.

It's due back in now next monday.. Fingers crossed they'll do something this time other than just read the error codes and confirm that it's super knocking...

I'll have a courtesy car this time so they won't be getting it back till I'm happy :P
