  • My new hobby?

So i got my DS3 at the end of July and have read lots of posts (mainly CliveP) about detailing etc. So i have bought a few bits and bobs and had a go. My and my patner both have DS3's in opposite colours, so after I did mine I had to do the other!

Let me know what you think.

Mine is the Black with White roof.

Used briteclean first, the pre washed with Magifoam and Autobrite snow foam lance.
Very Cherry non acid wheel cleaner
2 Bucket wash with sheepwool mitt
    clay
    AG HD Wax
    AG Fast Glass
Rain-X ( now have AB rain repel) using the bottle of rain-x although some people really dont like this???
    AG Tyre dressing

Autobrite were briliant, went to their location last friday and they are soo helpful

Think im getting into detailing a bit too much! lol still loads to learn though.

    Looking good Dudeoir

After Clive did mine, I ordered a load of stuff from Autobrite. Only had a chance to do it once so far but it's definitely addictive. This Saturday I'll finally get some time to give it a proper detail, can't wait

Glad you're all loving your detailing!, and I'm glad Dudeoir I've maybe inspired you to a new hobby, and your car looks great! Detailing is definitely an addictive hobby, can be expensive, (but not as madly expensive as my other hobby, which I'll show you briefly if you ever visit me at my home for anything detailing related!).

Well although it's not what I do for a living I am an Autobrite trainer, and those of you who have looked on detailingworld may have seen pictures of me training groups on the Autobrite Back to Basics (and 'plus') course, I simply love it.

I also sometimes help Autobrite with detailing cars (I've done cars for shows for/with Mark), but Mark (who is a personal friend of mine) is so busy with the products side of the business, there's a bit of a wait.

I can be a bit of a workaholic (just finished now after starting at 9am, will be up at 6 to go again!), and I think what I love about detailing is you can 'see' and visually see the end result! What I do for a day job you cannot see the end results in a physical sense (enough said, I can't talk about it much!)...

In terms of Mr 'Lazy Sod', above, lol, I do provide machine details, I particular like doing DS3s and I don't charge anywhere near what you'd pay a pro, but I think I can compete with the results achieved, but I'll let the lads on here whose cars I have done comment on that.

Really pleased to see this post, and please, enjoy!

                      Regards,
                      Clive.

it seems anything I get into is expensive these days! I'm into Photography too, which doesn't come cheap.

Would definitely love to run through stuff in more detail as I know there is more i can do and not waste as much time 'dordeling'.

                          Sounds good!

My other hobby is the expensive one - koi carp, and I go to Japan to select them!

Fingers crossed for a good weekend weather wise so can get out there and detail!

                          Regards,
                          Clive.

                            Wow! That is expensive!

Yeah hopefully weather will hold out. I'm going to Grand Designs at NEC tomorrow.
Going to try and do my car on Sunday.
