Reverse gear is a bit too easy to select

I haven't owned a Citroen before but the DS3 is the only car I've driven where reverse gear can be selected without engaging a lever or pushing gear stick down etc. From 5th it's straight back in to reverse. I've already had an occasions where an attempt was made to select reverse at 40+mph.
Just wondered if this is a concern to anyone else?

You're not the only one having problems with this. I've personally never had a problem, but then I've never had anyone learning in my car.

I tried to do this in mine after the last thread and couldn't make it happen and not had a learner manage it yet in either of my ds3's.
