  • Hello

    Hello everyone,

I got my DS3 DStyle+ 110 in August, it's white with black roof and black alloys. Got to say very happy with the car, have covered 8000 miles since I picked it up and very happy with it. (Only got the 110 because I do so many miles and travel to central London every day) couldn't think of a better car to beat the congestion zone with! Only problem I have is that there seems to be bit of a flat spot when you change into 3rd both when going slow and when driving hard. Any one else found this?

I would post pics but don't think anyone would like to see it, extremely dirty all of the time due to 100 mile round trip to work every day! And the last 2 miles are done on a nice single track lane normally about 6 in the morning

Yeah but it's only in 3rd, I do understand that going from my BMW which was trice the power it's going to be slooooow but its only third that I have a problem with.

One thing I would say that fuel economy goes way down if you drive fast on the motorway! However seeing as its only a piddly 1.6 that's hardly surprising, was just a surprise to have to fill up on the way to the highlands when I use to make it all the way on one tank at very high speeds (before I had my day in court and was told off by the magistrates).

What size tank did you have in the beemer? It maybe that the fuel economy is good, just a smaller tank in the DS3.

Not sure what size was about £70 to fill up and DS3 is £60 diesel prices are the same just the fact bigger engines don't have to rev as much at higher speeds therefor you use less fuel, engine size, how you drive is all relative to fuel consumption. However still happy with it averaging 54.3 since I have had the car, it pays for its self with low insurance no road tax and no congestion charge. It costs me roughly £15 a day to get it to work and park it, in comparison I did it in my shogun the other week...... Was about £55 once you add on congestion charge haha. Hope it is good in the snow so I don't have to use the shogun!

Hi Exile71- 54.3mpg seems pretty good to me
You could get an economy remap instead of a performance one and get a bit more out of it
Or get a new job and a THP

Haha yeah 54.3 is my daily commute, was a lot lower when I went to the highlands! And unfortunately London is the closest place for me to work doing what I do, and THP would mean I have to pay congestion charge, however there is no way I am moving closer! THP would be more fun but for the same price you can get the Punto Abarth which I'm sure I'm going to get shot for saying on here....... But is a better car. Was looking at them both last year, Abarth is cheaper on PCP and faster and better handling.
