You'd think dealers would have a standard price for servicing Citroen cars wouldn't you ?

I was told that main dealer pricing is set by Citroen at approved dealers...other non approved Citroen dealers that are also on Citroen uk website are cheaper so good enough for me as long as I get my stamp in the book! Get courtesy car too for £185
Tbh the service was much better too...all done over the phone, Citroen Birmingham couldn't even be bothered to call me back....

Nope, the rates are set by individual dealers.

Mine was roughly around £120, i can do deals on service items and then it's just a case of finding out cheap labour.
(You can call our service center booking office up on 01246 450450 for a labour quote and just tell Shaun or Emma that you have been referred by Aidan in the parts department followed by which service you require)

                  Kind Regards,
                  Aidan

Mine was free as I bought the car from Citroen and I wanted the car serviced befor I had it also my 2nd. Service should be around Christmas time and they said if I take it in close to the service they will do a pre check and do the parts on the warranty and then do the service :-s we will see about this one as I'm not 100% on it .... Any way I thought the 1st service was around the £200 mark not 100% on that tho £300 is mad

The local Vauxhall (now bankrupt) was a bugger for recommending additional items to replace at Services, I had a 10 min call with them once where they tried to convince me the discs and pads all round needed replacing. I calmly said they didnt and they insisted they did, they were 'borderline unsafe' and this went back and forth until I told them I'd replaced them 6weeks before with parts from their parts department !!
