  • DS3 Update - Introduction of Spare wheel

    Published today.

Introduction of Space Saver Spare Wheel (RS02)

Effective from November 2012 production, a Space Saver Spare Wheel (RS02) is being added to standard specification of DS3 DSport, DSport Plus and Ultra Prestige versions.

Spare wheel (code RS02) will be added to any orders placed until December, when it will change to a standard feature. Orders already placed will be modified to include the space saver spare wheel.
Also are some details about changes to the DS3 Plus versions

Change to DStyle and DSport Plus Special Editions

DS3 Plus versions have played a very important role in the success of the DS3 line by simplifying the customer offer, achieving significant residual value uplifts and by providing great value option packs. In order to maintain the momentum, plan for the introduction of the DS3 Cabrio and introduce a new Special Edition, it is necessary to make some minor changes to the way in which DS3 Plus versions are presented.

DS3 DStyle Plus and DSport Plus versions will no longer be listed as separate models in the Passenger Vehicles Recommended Retail Price List or considered as Special Edition versions. However it will be possible for customers to order a DS3 DStyle or DSport with a “Plus option pack” and these will be identical cars to those currently available. Pricing remains unchanged as does the method of ordering a Plus version in dialog
There will now be some option packs available, I'll give details once everything is confirmed.

Bellones are only an optional extra on the DStyle+ now?

I belive Bellone Alloys are still part of the DStyle Plus model but instead of having a special edition called a DStyle/DSport Plus they are just going to be DStyle/DSport models with a 'Plus pack' on them.

Although the table above looks as if they are an addition option

*sigh* You will notice that Bellone Black was not an option

What's going to happen, because there is a new Special Edition on the way (DS3 Red), the Plus version is becoming a option pack. You will order a DStyle with 'Plus' Pack to spec it as the car is now and then add extra bits as need be.

Yeah didn't spot that! So you only pay more to have different colour alloys.

Should have read further - "However it will be possible for customers
to order a DS3 DStyle or DSport with a “Plus option pack” and these will be identical cars to those currently available"

Price is staying the same as well
