  • DSport+ Hdi 110. 10 months, 9,000 miles later and had enough..

So its going! 27mpg around town, 42 at a steady 70 on the motorway and a uninterested dealership means time to say goodbye.
Been looking for a replacement, looked at all sorts but ended up back at a different Citroen dealer to look at a C4. Did I get one? er....nope. But I do have a Shark Grey/Blue (purple more like) DoggyStyle plus 90 hdi on its way from France. Hope I don't regret it and it's second time lucky.

      Hi there Buzz,

Good luck with the new one - I hope one way or another Citroen came in to make sure your part-ex was very generously valued. It's not like you're changing the car for the hell of it (which I could be accused of for sure!)....

Let us know how the new one goes!

      Regards,
      Clive.

How are you people driving these things 0.o 27mpg from a diesel! That's unheard of even absolutely thraping mine on the way home just now I was getting over 40+ mpg, I'd suggest taking it to another dealer and having them look at it before you get rid surely?

All about the 90 i guess. Drive it hard and you'l average 52mpg on a tank, that aint bad

90HDi is better around town but the 110 is better at 70.

Unless you have deflated tyres then I would suspect something wrong with your driving or the car. As you should average 60+ in sixth gear at 70mph.

As has been pointed out, even twatish driving should net more than I'm getting. There's always been an issue with it, it's been back 3 times now and still no solution so it's time to move on. I'm getting more MPG on the same journeys out of a 1998 Espace, so kinda rules me out.

LOL Nothing wrong with my driving, It's the long hard trip to work that kills my MPG all of 1.5 miles of it :P

Motoring commentators reckon at least 10,000 miles a year needed to be travelled before a diesel is as economically viable as petrol!!!
