Just found out my wait for a new dstyle plus is going to be delayed past my estimated delivery time looks like i wont be getting it for christmas as it is being delivered some time near mid january, been waiting since october and to know that your new car was shipped from factory to the U.K on the 19th december but not being able to drive it soon is just frustrating!

Yes it's frustrating.I ordered mine in May and got it in August.

I had the same issue this time last year. Ordered mine early November and was told it was in the uk about the 16th December. But I couldn't collect it till mid jan. went it and had a quiet word with them, ended up picking up the car 23rd December. I actually drove into the dealership to collect it and my car got trailered in behind me! So had to wait 3 hours for them to Clean it ect. Lol

It's worth the wait though! You will love it!

That's bad news. Sometimes when I've ordered a new car and the dealers said 'you'll have it for date x' - and they've said 'definitely' - I've said 'that's great, I've agreed the price for that date delivery, and if you're late I want a condition in the contract that for each week you'll late, you'll give me another £1000 off the price' - tell you what it doesn't half concentrate their minds, and you can watch the white of their eyes as they reply!

Oh, just to add, the idea is to see what they will agree written in - if they won't say anything for being late, then it tells you something...

Anyway, you'll love it when it arrives! At least it will have a 2013 registration (as in January) making it worth just a few more pence when you trade it in

Yes, I meant a 62 plate registered in 2013, like I say it will be worth fractionally more at trade-in than the 62 plate registered in 2012....
(i.e. 2012 - 62 or 2013 - 62)

bad luck mate -- i really feel for you , on the upside i can assure you it will be worth the wait and youll be so glad you went for a ds3 once you have youre mitts on it

that sounds like an amazing plan clive! wish i could have done it but too late now, nothing i can do but wait but i did tell my dealer i want it as soon as new years day is over because theres no excuse for lateness after that. oldskool, yeah i guess so, keep telling myself "good things come to those who wait" so hopefully the time will fly! I was so angry at the fact that i dont have a car at all and this is going to be my first car, and it means so much to my family as i live with my mum and sister and my mum hasnt been out of leicester since the 90s since shes ill and no one drives, was hoping to take them out for christmas and new years day to see the fireworks since i got told it would "definitely come by Christmas" but oh well, shit happens :P

Most orders where 'rolled' over to the new Model Year 20 so don't get you knickers in a twist Think you may need to understand the delivery process a bit better, mind that Dealers have no control over GEFCO... Have a read of my lead time and delivery thread for more info.

Clive on a side note I who love to meet a Dealer that would have agreed to that!
