  • Stop/start

    Hi guys am new to all this as just picked up my new ds3 on Monday, I have a wee question hoping some one can help me with, my ds3 has stop/start I have tried a few times ie stop at lights in on gear the Eco button flashes up then goes on the display the timer is always at zero am I doing something wrong?

    To activate stop/start you need to be out of gear with your foot off the clutch.

    There are a lot of reasons why it won't activate, but one of the major reasons at this time of year is that it is too cold. I have a 30minute drive to work and it the engine only cuts out when I stop in traffic towards the end of my journey.

      If the Eco light flashes (usually three times) the system's ECU is telling you that one of the 42 variables has not been met. Nothing to worry about and it's quite normal in the colder weather as the car needs a certain level of outside temperature to work correctly.

          Well we weren't given the full list by the engineers!

          But here is a couple;

          *Drivers door open
          *Battery Charge
          *Secondary Battery Charge
          *E-Booster
          *Brake assist
          *Engine Temp
          *Outside Temp
          *Drivers Seat Belt
          *High charge demands (Using A/C and other heating items)
          *Rolling check

          There are others, I will try and find a full list at some point
