Just had email from citroen to say my cabrio has been built and has left the factory and is on its way... how cool is that... yipeee..

We're in Devon though, never rains here!!!! lol Is this first forum member to buy a DS with that extra large sun roof thingy?

Bring me sunshine...lol.. Sunny Devon....not!! They reckon it will be due to collect week after next... I will put pics on.. ive just got to remain calm when collecting this car because when I collected my yellow ds3 I had what I thought was a stroke on the way home, had to abandon the brand new car in a high street and got carted off by ambulance to hospital....ha ha, heart rate had shot up to 140!! All was ok though it was just anxiety.... ha ha. Im calm!

I am receiving lots of jokes from friends at the moment about collecting this new car... and I have the same salesman that sold me the yellow one, he knows what happened last time too! I remember last time telling him to hurry up with the paperwork because I felt peculiar and the heart was racing, he tried to keep me back and told me to chill on their sofa until I felt better but it was my fault I insisted on getting in the car and driving home...lol.

Still cant find any insurance search engines on internet that has the ds3 cabrio on their lists yet.. how can they be soooo behind...arghhh!

Have you tried calling them instead, sometimes they can help when your car isn't listed on the Internet insurance pages

I had similar problems when I had my Leon even after 4yrs of ownership. Every time I went on line for a quote or rang they had my car listed as an FR when it was a 2.0 FSI

I will ring when I get the chance, it just takes ages on the phone... I asked a friend who works for an insurance company why the lists dont have the cabrio yet and she said its not the insurance companies fault, its citroens fault for not updating the list that everyone gets...oooh! Ive got a week to go sooooo in between work and kids I will try and ring! Lol.

Good luck, hope you get a decent quote, have you thought about googling for an insurance company specialising in cabriolets ? Might be a better price....

Give the insurance company a phone, normally what will happen is that the underwriting team will sort out the profile for the car.

For future reference Citroen will have submitted all the info and it's the ABI's fault for not updating the lists

Rang my insurance company (which took half an hour holding) that my current ds3 is with and they couldnt give me figure and even the underwriting dept (which took another 10min holding) couldnt either as theyve not heard of the cabrio yet, what if i was picking up the car tomorrow! So even my own insurance company cant help....its a joke. Im due to collect next week, just thought it would be wise to get quotes before continuing with the company ive been with! even citroens insurance website hasnt got the cabrio on it..ha ha ha... hey ho! Let the stress continue.... lol.
