  • Notchy gears

So I have had my ds3 for two days now and I love it!

All apart from one thing. When I'm changing down into second or putting it into reverse it's very notchy. Sometimes I have to lift my foot off the clutch and try again to get it into gear. It's kind of annoying as its taking some of the fun out of driving it

Is this normal? It's a Thp by the way

    Cheers

Mine was a bit ropey, difficult even, for the first few hundred miles, seems fine now though.

My THP gearbox is fine. I can't recall it being widely reported as a problem on here.

My test drive was perfect and there wasn't any grinding and crunching. Ill pop down to the dealer and see what they say

Test drive in a car that has already covered x amount of miles?

Give it a chance to settle in first, put at least a few hundred miles under it's belt. As it a new car the linkage may just be a little stiff and just needs to loosen first.

I have covered a few hundred miles already. May give it a few weeks then and see how it goes

At the end of the day its you driving it, and only you know the true extent of the issue, so its your call on leaving it a while of taking it to the dealers, even if its just for a piece of mind. You have a fair sum of money, and if you are nto happy with something you are well with in your rights to have it looked at.

Never had that with mine (eHDI 110 DSport+) so if it's bugging you that much then ask the dealer to take a look at it as suggested above

lol people are saying give it a few hundred miles... mines on 13000 miles and still does this occasionally going into reverse. Maybe there is something wrong |:
