The Citroen DS3 was the first car to be launched as part of Citroen’s new luxury ‘DS’ range, which now includes the DS4 and DS5. It’s designed to offer more style, more equipment and a sharper drive than the underwhelming C3 supermini on which it’s based.
And it’s done it with some success, too, as the little Citroen manages to be a credible rival to not only the MINI and Vauxhall Adam, but also more expensive rivals like the Audi A1. It’s a great looking car that offers huge scope for personalisation, ensuring it’s easy to tailor to your own personal taste.

Pink Editions released
Citroen has extended the DS3 supermini range by launching new Pink special editions. The DS3 DStyle Pink and DSport Pink models both feature exclusive interior and exterior trim as well as a few bits of extra kit now fitted as standard.
Both DS3 Pink models – available only in black or white – feature a fuchsia pink roof, wheel centre caps and matching door mirrors. Inside, the pink theme is continued with the dashboard and gear knob receiving similar treatment. DStyle variants receive 16-inch alloy wheels – matching the chosen body colour – as well as a HiFi System upgrade with additional speakers.
Top spec DSport models are fitted with larger 17-inch alloy wheels, plus a ‘City Signature’ pack, which adds automatic headlights and wipers, rear parking sensors, heated and electric folding door mirrors and a front central armrest.
Four engines are offered across the Pink range, with the DStyle models available with a 120bhp 1.6-litre VTi petrol and 90bhp 1.6-litre e-HDi diesel engine. DSport Pink is powered by either a 155bhp 1.6-litre THP petrol or a more powerful 115bhp version of the e-HDi diesel engine, which both emit less than 100g/km of CO2. The DS3 Pink is exclusive to the UK market
The popular body colour Belle ile Blue will return.

From July 2014
DS3 DSport and Ultra Prestige trim levels will be equipped with the New Xenon Full LED Signature Headlights as well as Active City Brake Technology as standard. Prices are changed to reflect this additional equipment.
A new hypnotic gaze.
New, modern and efficient headlamps featuring a world-first design normally reserved for concept cars; a design that combines LED and XENON technologies with new scrolling indicator lights. At the same time, the DS3 maintains its unique ‘road signature’ styling with the vertical front LED DRLs and the 3D effect of the rear LED lights making DS3 really stand out from the crowd. These new headlights are standard on DSport and Ultra Prestige models and will be available as a cost option at £850 on DSign, DStyle and DStyle Plus models as well as being part of the Plus pack on the new DSire trim level. They also feature on the new Special Edition “DStyle Techno”
New Active City Brake technology
DS3 is watching the road with you. New automatic braking technology uses sensors mounted on the windscreen that constantly measure the distance to the vehicle in front and the rate at which this distance reduces. During urban driving at speeds of less than 20mph, the sensors calculate if this distance is reducing too quickly for you to come to a safe stop. If this is the case, the Active City Brake technology will provide braking in order to help avoid a collision with the car in front.
Active City Brake is standard on DStyle Techno, DSport, DSport Plus and Ultra Prestige versions
It is included in the Plus Pack for the new DSire trim level
It will be available as an option, either stand alone or as a part of a pack on other selected trim levels.

New reversing camera technology
Make parking your DS3 a breeze. With the new reversing camera, parking your DS3 has never been easier. The camera is mounted discreetly on the rear of the car and uses the 7 inch colour screen that is fitted when eMyWay is ordered. The camera overlays the area behind the car with helpful guidelines to enable precision parking. The new reversing camera with eMyWay is standard on Ultra Prestige.
As the camera uses the 7 inch colour screen, the reversing camera is only available within a new eMyWay Signature called ‘eMyWay with Reversing Camera Signature’. This new signature is available as an option on DStyle, DSire, and DSport.

New Special Edition - DStyle Techno THP 155
With all of the new equipment available on DS3 line, a special edition that showcases the new advanced technology and new features will be launched. The DStyle Techno THP 155 special edition comes with the new key equipment at an optical price of £17,000.
This price includes the cost of Ruby Red metallic paint and contrasting white roof. Pearl White and Moondust roof is available for an additional £235.

Introducing the new DS3 DSire trim level
To complement the new model year on DS3, we’ll be introducing a new trim level. The DSire will be available with the rapid THP 155 turbo petrol engine (previously exclusive to DSport) and the new BlueHDi120 engine. The standard equipment of the new DSire has been picked using specification from the best-selling DStyle Plus and coupled with the top of the range engine and half Alcantara sports seats from DSport.
The DSire THP 155 is available This positions the DSire between DStyle Plus and the upgraded specification of DSport – combining the best elements of both versions. Prices and codes for this new trim level are shown in the pricing and codes section below. The key specification of the DSire in addition to DStyle Plus is shown below:

Introduction of Euro 6 BlueHDi 120 manual to replace e-HDi 115 manual
The e-HDi 115 manual will be replaced by the first Euro 6 engine on DS3 line - the BlueHDi 120 6 speed manual. This new Euro 6 engine delivers 94g/km CO2 and an impressive 78.5 mpg and is a more powerful top of the range diesel engin
The BlueHDi 120 will be available on DSire, DSport and Ultra Prestige.
Rehomologation of VTi 120 manual
From July production, the VTi 120 manual will be rehomologated resulting in a CO2 reduction from 132g/km to 129g/km. This means that the VTi 120 manual is now exempt from VED. OTR will not change as result of the VED decrease and BIK drops from 19% to 18%.
Deletion of DStyle 91g e-HDi 90 Airdream
The DStyle 91g e-HDi 90 Airdream version is discontinued from July 14 and no longer available to order
