Filled up before leaving Watford and reset trip 1. Drove 82 miles mainly M1 & M6 and look what MPG I managed to get :cool:

So as the thread title says, who needs a diesel

Hi yes I'm the same normal running around I'm on 47.7 and 50 plus on good run , on track down to 20 mpg but that's what you expect. The best of both worlds

The average is low due to the 10 or so miles on local roads either end of the journey & the variable speed limit section of the M1

That is VERY impressive Arlow! Although slightly gutted your not using the full potential of the gorgeous White Racing oh well I suppose someone has to do these experiments

My 50 mpg was at 70 mph on a good run mined you I superchip that's the difference

For god's sake get out there and thrash it like it was intended for - sod the petrol, sod the planet!

I get just over 56mpg on combined driving in my diesel. That includes auto aircon on all the time and aggressive acceleration. Think I'm quite happy with that
