Not got a car yet

Dealer phoned today 25/02/2013 said our DS3 Dsport+ will be completed at factory tomorrow 26th Feb don't know if this means built tomorrow or leaves factory tomorrow or maybe both. Ordered in Dec on 15/12/2012 eta 16/03/13 said they hope it will arrive on time but no guarantee so to be prepared for a couple of days extra over eta. Here's hoping for 16th or asap after.

Well phoned on Friday 15 th to see what was what with car. Chap dealing with us off ill so spoke to his colleague and other guy said no car tomorrow 16th as it had not arrived yet ring back Tuesday and he will have more info.

Phoned today same guy he said ok checked things out your car will be built on 02/04/2013. Asked why we had been phoned to say car was being built on 26/02/2013 said things get put back said car ordered on 15/12/2012 gave plenty of notice not happy he said he will see what can be done and get back to us.

Better half got back home told her what they said (its her car) and she was pissed off to say the least and we went to the dealers to complain about miss-informing us. The guy said he had managed to source a new car was available at the RDC same model same colours etc (lucky coincidence or maybe our car built on 26th who knows) and had got it for us and cancelled the one to be built on 02/04/2012.

Now my wife's convinced they messed up with the delivery as the original guy is off ill and no one took on his work so our car was not delivered as he had not arranged it. And after we rang on Friday they could not find the car so they quickly ordered a new car the 02/04/2013 build to fob us off with then found out where the original car was and arranged delivery cancelling the new order or something around those lines what do you think? When we ordered the car in Dec 2012 I thought we gave them ample time and did expect to have the car on the agreed date of 16/03/2013 and I still think that was a reasonable expectation.

Good news is we should have the car before the end of the month at the latest earlier if delivery can be expedited.

Dealer prob only ordered on 26th as that would be a very short time for the build especially as there were most likely four/five days factory holiday for Xmas. Avge time for factory build is 3 month wait. At least you have one coming.

Ordered my car Dec 13th and took delivery of it Friday just gone (Mar 15th). It was a factory build. Never had so much fun!

Wow, thats ages... ordered my cabrio end of january, and pick it up this thursday morning... my first ds3 in 2010 took 3 months though.. agonising wait..lol.

I do sympathise, I'm now on my third date of arrival for my ds3 sport+, ordered 17th Jan, was initially told delivery 24th Feb, then 10th March, now 31st March...... The wait goes on....and on. Agonising it is!..lol

There has been a supply issue on the factory floor which has pushed all orders back by a couple of weeks.

At least your dealer had the courtesy to try and find another vehicle for you to try and cut down the wait for you.

At least it will now be a 13 plate Mark.

Although I ordered mine on Dec 13th - I asked for delivery to be delayed until March in order to be a 13 plate. I didn't want it turning up mid-February (as forecast by my dealer) when a wait of an extra 2 weeks meant a newer reg... if that makes sense? ;-)

Factory floor order?

With those dates your dealer was being a tad optimistic!

I know dates get put back but we get a call on 25th Feb saying the car will be completed 26th Feb and if it had been put back to 2nd April surely I would warrant a courtesy call to let us know this as it's a big difference .

Also is it normal to put back manufacture by 5 weeks this seams excessive to me and as I said it was ordered on the 15th Dec so the 26th Feb build seems reasonable but the 2nd April build seems to indicate some type of problem/issue/mess-up happened.

I do to a point appreciate the dealer sourcing a car to cut down the wait but feel that they created this situation as they had the order in ample time to ensure delivery and did nothing after the phone call on the 25th Feb to check if all was progressing and if not why not.

They made no effort to keep us informed of any delay until I contacted them and it took them 4 days to come up with any answers the first answer was ,they knew it was due in but it had not arrived yet but it should not be long in arriving, surly he would have looked up the details on the computer?

When we went to the dealership this changed to the car has not been made yet but it is due to be built on 2nd April however they said we can get you a car from the RDC same model same colours etc a coincidence or luck or perhaps the car built for us on 26th Feb re-appearing after being lost in the system.

I just get the feeling something went awry with our order but no one will explain it to us for whatever thier reasons and we have been bullshitted a bit.

Good news is will eventually get the car this month unless this one disappears as well lol.
