  • The Nut behind The Wheel !

Hi Guys, looking for some opinions here.

I saw the Fifth Gear programme with Tiff driving the DS3 around a rooftop car park and he mentioned a mild dislike of the flat-bottomed steering wheel - how do you feel about it ie advantages/disadvantages and is an issue or non-issue as you just love driving the car and don't notice it?

No problem for me - don't really notice it when I'm driving.

Non issue, never notice it when driving. I guess you might notice it when parking or doing very tight turns but I usually palm the wheel anyway at slow speed (the power steering is great).

I don't like the flat bottomed steering wheel.. makes it hard to steer with your knees while texting with both hands...

Tiff is a lunatic. Never forget the time helped take Nigel Mansell out in BTCC in 1993

Don't mind the flat bottom. Do mind the edges that chafe on your palms if you hold lower section of the wheel. Classic example of style over function.

The flat bottom wheel is designed the way is it so you don't rub your knees under the wheel while driving.

originally but now just a fashion statement.

Don't mind a flat bottom myself!

Tiff's a God, Mansell was (and always will be imo) a Dick!
