Is it standard for the 155 exhaust to produce a bassy, raspy sound as standard? Only really noticed it tonight after a 35 mile motorway run.

No- quiet as the grave an OEM exhaust

Thanks for the info. The exhaust sounds fairly quiet in the car but from outside while idling or blipping the throttle it sounds a little rough. I've attached a sound clip which actually sounds worse than it is.

A new exhaust dont sound like that IMO- sounds a tadge bit rattly/ phumpy (Just a little- like exhaust gases escaping from somewhere other than the tailpipes).
Mine was as smooth as a babys backside before I took it off- only done 250 miles tho!
And i do need a hearing aid eh? LOL

I visited Citroen Glasgow today and the guy from the service desk had a look and listen to the exhaust and in his opinion all appears to be consistent with other DS3 twin exit exhausts.

Tempted to say they would say that wouldnt they

Only way is to compare with an identical vehicle- warranty last 6000 miles on an exhaust
Expect all is normal
