  • ds3 s yellow paint

hi ive just bought a 10 plate ds3 sport and didnt notice until i took a pic that the bonnet is a diffrent shade of yellow to the rest of the car ?has anyone else got this?
i have done a search and can find colour diffrences on front and back bumpers but not bonnet.
also it has what seems like turbo lag and delayed (if i can call it delayed more like a pause) pick up .is this normal?

Did you buy it from a Citroen dealer ? If you did I'd take it back to them and explain your concerns, they're best placed to fix it for you

I see what you mean about the bonnet colour....

I have a sport yellow DS3 and the paint matches up perfectly all over. Your bonnet does indeed look a noticeably different shade!

yes i bought it from a citroen dealer but i dont think will do anything its a 3 year old car .i had it checked out by the dot beforehand and nothing was noticed .you cant notice it by looking only in pics! strange.

If you're having issues with the engine as well it does need to be raised with Citroen, at the same time you can mention the paint differences. They can only say no after all....

Not seen that kind of paint mismatch on a yellow DS3 before. On the bumpers, yes, but not on the bonnet.

As for the turbo lag and hesitancy? It's a THP, right? Do a quick search for THP problems and cross your fingers...

Go and have a quick look around the bonnet shut line and rubbers, looks to me that the bonnet has been re-sprayed.

Yeah I thought that, although it's always hard to tell from a photo rather than seeing it in the flesh.

Even if you decided to accept the paint differences I would be concerned about the lag/hesitancy issues though Hopefully a quick trip back to the dealer can get it looked at.

                      Looks like reflection to me.
If you look closely the lighter colour is only on one side and continues down to the grill.
Your windscreen is 2 different shades as well!
