  • Bird poo has ruined paint work

    Hi Guys

Anyone got experience with paint work? been cleaning the car at the weekend to find some bird poo has eroded the paint work, I have come across this on ebay

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-CI...item1c2f59043f

I have also caught the door on some brickwork and has scratched the paint off the side of the door would this be any good to resolve these problems?

    Many Thanks

        Welcome to the club

Depending on the damage and your skills, the paint is an option, you'd probably need it machine polished and a clear coat added as well.

Do you have any pictures of the damage?

Use the search box and look up a member called CliveP and send him a PM asking for advice.

Here you go: CliveP. Anything Clive doesn't know about cleaning your car, probably isn't worth knowing.

Some might say that a helluva lot of what Clive DOES know about cleaning your car isn't worth knowing!!

For bird poo that eroded my paint work, I have used in the past, Zaino AIO by hand. Now no evidence of it at all.

For more stubborn marks, a light cutting pad (machine pad) using something like a light Scholl or Mezerna compound will get it back to normal.

                    Bird poo is Shit. Lol.

I live in seagull land and I check my car regulary n remove the foulness soon as I possibly can coz its acid. I know you've already got paint damage but clive is yr man as already said above.

                    Good luck!!

Said it before and I'll say it again - no such thing as a seagull! (Probably Herring Gulls where you live)

Only a Yank would use a Cambridge dictionary. Even the definition is inaccurate.
