LOL, (ok not funny for you guys or your DS3) but Land Rovers seem tough as ****. Dad reversed his old Disco 2 into Mum's Accord Type S (this is about 10 years ago). Mum needed a new radiator, bonnet and bumper. Dad's Disco was fine as he had a tow-bar.

Then last year Dad reversed his new Rangie Sport into my previous DS3 where I needed a new licence plate and that shiny black panel that is underneath the licence plate - once again no damage to his car because of a tow-bar....AND his car had a reverse camera and sensors..........

Glad to hear you guys are alright And the Land Rover owner owned up as well.

BTW on a side note Dad had a Freelander 2 between his Disco 2 and Rangie Sport and we went as a family trip about 5 years ago from Brisbane to Longreach to Mt Isa to Townsville and back to Brisbane. And it coped really well off-road Coped almost as well as the old Disco but more comfy. And going to Rally Australia it got hit by a tree trunk while we attempted a shortcut which resulted in a big dent on driver's side both doors and requiring a new sill but was fine after the repair. : )

Sounds like you shouldn't be parking anywhere near your Dad

How dare you suggest it's not a serious car!

They're both 4x4s JB but girlie ones..... A proper 4x4 is a Defender, then if you have the cash a Range Rover

I also find this a bit offensive as I'm an utter knob but have never driven a SUV and I think you are doing all us knobs a disfavor by associating us with those people.

Good luck with the repairs on the DS3

I was hit in stationary traffic by a guy in a Grand Jeep Cherokee, after he hit me, he said 'Sorry, did I make you jump?' Then took him a year to admit hitting me.

On the subject of going Off Topic
Bad drivers surprisingly can drive any car.

Horses for courses, but one persons car choice doesn't make then a knob, they can do that without the aid of a car.

We've owned various 4x4's, The Jeep Cherokee was used to tow the horse trailer, the Disco was for family holidays and awesome for packing up the family into being dragged UK based holidays in the middle of no where, Dent is as exciting as it sounds.

My Dad has also owned a myriad of the other stereotypical cars. Including BMW's, Audi, Mercedes and 2 MX5's. When he was left on his own in living CA, he bought himself a Soft Top Wrangler........ Summarise that as you will, but none of it will apply.
