  • Have problems been 'cured' on newer thp's ????

Is there any way (poll??) to see if the thp problems are STILL
on newer vehicles or if they've been 'cured' at all????
    ie. Problem / age / mileage (?)
I know there is the yes/no taken-to-garage poll already there,
but, has there been any improvement?

    FatS
( PURELY selfish, as just waiting for thp on lease to arrive - - )

I haven't heard any reports of 12/13 plates going pop yet but my recommendation would be to avoid like the plague considering how quiet PSA have kept over the whole issue.

If you're still set on a DSport, see if you can change to the diesel.

HA! to officially cure a problem you have to officially recognize that there is one. No way PSA will do that and accept liability.

That's what I've seen people hinting at but wondered if anyone HAS had
        probs lately.
Don't want diesel again - need bit more speed this time.
NOT Anti-diesel, but want petrol-power to partially replace the bike
        i don't ride anymore

I have a THP 155, 12 plate, 11 months old, 11000 miles. No issues so far.

Still puts a smile on my face whenever I drive it.

Back in 2012 I wanted to try a THP DS3 but one of the dealers advised me not to as there 'appeared to be issues' with that engine....

I stayed with the diesel and appreciate the combination of fuel economy/free road tax and torque...

When did the 155 'come out'??
                  (I realise that's not a precise date)

my 10 plate has been fine apart from a couple of turbo farts before the warranty fixes were done a year ago (static cam timing out by 4.3 degrees)............... oh I wish I hadn't said that - where's that warranty extension information

It's still a pleasure to drive and will be living with me for a few more years yet all being well

Ive heard of no issues with the 155, and have had my 155 bout 3 thousand in and luvin it
Mind you- had no issues with my 150, 22500 miles in, and it had been tweaked a fair bit
Its the real earlier 150s that seemed to have the problems, and those owners on here will let you know

I love it! Try not get besotted with fear of problems

Blimey DS3r- that sounds a lot
Some people have had catch cans fitted and get hardly anything outta them
You reckon this is an increase catch can contents?

Hi chris as you look at the engine it's the right side with the problem not the lift we had can on the lift and nothing and no it's what I have been getting out of it and the more miles I do there will be more in the catch can and what I remember when all this started people posting about it they were all having the can on the lift but it the right side that's why they are not getting much.

Will get one fitted when the warranty has run a bit, as no doubt fitting the catch can will void it
