  • She's here! but...

    Hi all,

I picked up my Dsport in red yesterday after a 9 week wait. Very pleased with the car. Couldn't of asked for anything better.( will post pictures when I'm at a computer)

Just one question.. How do I get the folding door mirrors to work. I've had a look on the forum about locking the car for them to shut but nothing happens. I also tried to press down on the pad/button to change from left to right mirror but still no luck.

What's the quick fix? Or does it need to go back to Citroen for them to sort it out.

    Thanks!

On mine you can use the selector switch for the mirrors to open and close them, do this by sliding the switch backwards and forwards rather than left to right. Does this work the folding mechanism ?

This is covered on p86 of the owners manual, which also states that the folding can be over ridden by a Citroen dealer.....

        Ok thanks.
When I try to move it forwards or backwards it feels like its going to snap..
Does yours have arrows going up and down aswell as left and right?
I also read on here that it may have to be set up by Citroen of it wasn't already done by the dealer.
I will take another look at the manual when I can.

Is it a DSport-Plus or just a straight DSport?

If it's just the DSport, then I'm afraid that (like me) you don't have the folding mirrors (unless you do it by hand!)

The mirrors don't look like chrome from those pictures. That means it's a normal DSport doesn't it?

As far as I'm aware, the main differences between the 'Plus' and the standard DSport are -
              - leather upholstery
              - auto-mirrors
              - auto-wipers
              - factory-fitted reversing sensors
              - £1000 less in your bank account .

I don't think chrome mirror caps are standard on a 'plus', they're an optional extra on any trim.

                From the Citreon brochure (http://info.citroen.co.uk/Assets/pdf...s/brochure.pdf)

Difference from DStyle Plus to DSport Plus:

                • Connect Signature
                • Anti-theft alarm
                • Rear spoiler with an integrated third brake light
                • Double chrome exhaust pipe
                • Chrome door mirrors
                • Front and rear carpet mats
                • Aluminium drilled pedals
                • Mistral perforated ‘Claudia’ leather

But that brochure also says that folding door mirrors is standard on the DStyle Plus also so am assuming it is part of the "Plusness" as it were? Or more to the point it comes from the city signature pack. I seem to remember when I was pricing up the car on Tusker I could add City Signature to a DSport and paying more a month. In the end, once I added that anbd the chrome doors etc the cost ended up being such that I just went straight to the DSport Plus:

                City Signature
                – interior mood lighting, automatic digital air conditioning, automatic rain-sensitive windscreen wipers, automatic illumination of headlamps and electrochrome rear view mirror, rear parking sensors, front central armrest, electrically heated and folding door mirrors

I think they are standard on the plus and with the DSport you don't get them unless you spec the 'City Signature' pack that gives you the auto lights etc. At least I think it was like that when I got mine!
'10 DSport in Black/Carmen Red 'Daisy' - Traded back in
                  '61 DSport+ in White/Black 'Poppy'
'We do what we must, because we can.'
Entropy... It's not what it used to be...

                    Car looks great

As others have said, folding mirrors are only included in the City Signature pack, either included with DStyle / DSport Plus models or as an optional extra.

City Signature – interior mood lighting, automatic digital air conditioning, automatic rain-sensitive windscreen wipers, automatic illumination of headlamps and electrochrome rear view mirror, rear parking sensors, front central armrest, electrically heated and folding door mirrors.

Chrome door mirrors are included with the DSport Plus (but not DStyle Plus). Info here.

                        Thanks for all your replys.
                        It's just a dsport.
I thought I might not have them but in the manual it says to not fold them cause they are electric.
Must be a standard manual then.

Dsport has standard mirrors UNLESS the City Signature pack is ordered.

DSport + is fitted with this pack as part of it's specification.
