Over 4 moths of waiting but I pick up my DS3 DSport Plus on Monday. They would have delivered Thursday but I couldn't wait and the drive from Milton Keynes will help me get used to it

So excited.
Nice one Icewolf- that's a long wait
Gold plated dashboard?
Not sure why the wait was so long as its just a standard DSport Plus. Perhaps I was just unlucky to have to wait 4 months as it seems 3 is more normal
That will be Milton Keynes sales staff for you, I had gone in for test drive for a Dsport and they got me in a Dstyle diesels.
They then told me that they would get me the sport in to drive within a week. heard nothing so started looking else where, Found mine in cambridge and had it 2 weeks when their number comes up on the dashboard of the DS3 telling me that they had a car for me to test drive.
I took great pleasure in telling them that I had gone else where and was driving the car as we spoke and how bad their sales customer service is. never going there again.
Would that be Perrys per chance? Popped over to the Peugeot side of the glass palace and sales manager wouldn't even come out of the showroom to look at my part ex when I popped by unannounced.

It was ordered via Tusker and they seem to have used Perrys yes. I didn't order direct from them as they are over 60 miles from me

Was that not a bit harsh?
In a prefect world a dealer would have every single model version available for customers to drive, I don't stock a DSport version on our site as the majority of customers opt for the DStyle+ version. At least they arranged for you to have a drive and came back to you once they did have a DSport, they could have just not bothered at all.

Anyway I'm glad your motor has turned up Icewolf and they you can get busy with the job of driving it!
...I should never have doubted the Lord of Bacon!!
Well I have it and I love it! 11 miles on the clock. It's a nice feeling to get a car that I know hasn't been used before. It even had half a tank of diesel which can't be bad.
The drive is fantastic, really smooth and comfortable which I wasn't sure I was expecting with it being called a DSport. I did notice the back thing others have commented on in the forums, with a bit of tweaking of the seats I am sure that'll be sorted quick. I had to travel back via A roads and such so couldn't really get the full power but an average of 60mpg even so is pretty good.
Not had a chance to play with all the features yet but the radio system sounds amazing and I need to try and work out how to connect to my ipod or phone but that will come with time as will working out how the cruise control and such works, too many dials to sit playing at the showroom :-)
Negatives I guess are that as I had heard the glove box is tiny and under it I can see a bit of the lining or something? Looks a tad frayed which is unfortunate. The mats that I got I have to say weren't quite as I expected, I had thought there would be at least some Citroen branding on them. I also looked at the bottom of the doors and the paint is sort of "lumpy" there if that makes sense, maybe it's supposed to be there though but I thought it looked a bit ugly but I can live with that. Its really just minor niggles.
There is a stain above the door though, almost looks like a splatter effect but it's not coming off with soapy water. Will need to get some proper car cleaning stuff and see what happens. Bit odd really but won't panic yet!
Just a couple things I didn't quite understand from the manual. If I read it right if I switch the headlights into automatic it controls both sidelights and headlights? Does that mean I never need to use them manually unless there is snow/fog or have I misunderstood that? Also auto wipers, they will need to be activated every time I start the car is that right?

If you switch the headlights to 'Auto', the DRL's will stay on until the car thinks it's too dark, then it will switch on dipped headlights. When it thinks it's light again, it will change back to DRLs.
Auto wipers can be turned on with a quick down press on the right stalk. This has to be done once, every time you start the car. For me it's become an automatic reaction when it's raining, a quick tap then no need to think about it.
