Does yours have the 'white' fuel gauge? If so then nothing to worry about (in theory!)

        Hi there and welcome!

Maybe you'd prefer to buy my one! It's not in bad nick! Won't be less than £10K though! I normally get top dollar on trade in! This is a DSport Plus 150THP, engine has been fine but sometimes on a cold start reports a problem that doesn't exist!

Here's just one thread on it:

        http://ds3club.co.uk/showthread.php?...r-Auto-Express

No, I don't need to change, do I?

        Clive.

(ps when I do change, plate will be removed, it's worth more than the car!)....

What you after Clive motor wise?
Part exed mine for over £10k

They originally had it up for 12250, now dropped down to 10,495 I think
Nothing wrong with it, but PM me if you want more LOL

Others on there dropped too- economic climate not picked up yet then IMO

Pretty much all THPs registered after March 2011 seem fine- watched this site since then for issues
Last knock/timing issue on here was a March 2011 that Ive noticed

Now the Racings- even the 2013 registered ones were built early 2011 AFAIK

Thanks for the advice guys, i'm a little stumped on what to do now . The bf does engine remapping so i'll get a free one out of him i'm sure though . Not a great fan of understeer though and i'm used to a pretty planted mini on the road . The DS3 I drove felt very nice, with less steering feedback but still pretty sure footed. The bf did mention timing chain sounded a little sloppy on the THP . I think some more test drives are in order! Anyone in the midlands who wants to show me their diesel? .

Now the one I test drove was yellow, and keeps in trend with my previous cars... but I think I want a white one and not a basic trim level .

Please, please, please don't buy a 10-11 THP. Members have had nothing but problems with these and the Racing.

If you're adament on a DSport then I'd seriously recommend looking at the diesel instead.

I think the key thing Chris is when they were built rather than registered, Biggie has offered to double check if you PM him VIN numbers and this is probably the best way of reassuring yourself before a potential purchase...

Up against the THP it seemed just slightly more nimble if you drove them back to back .I thibnk the derv engine is heavier but never really checked .If you have never drove the other you would never notice

You're not trying hard enough then

In all seriousness, both the THP & eHDi handle brilliantly, very grippy even when pushing it. Only understeer I've had was going slightly too quick onto a roundabout, eased off the throttle and it just stuck to the road (in both petrol & diesel, would happen in any car tbh).

Driven both- new diesel 115 several times. Drove it as a courtesy, then went and bought a THP
THP still wins hands down for handling IMO
