Correct. Mine was pushing out around the same amount of power as a racing whilst using the same internals.

It also suffered the same failure attributed to most THP's twice resulting in two engine rebuilds.

My last word on this for now, I honestly wouldn't wish THP issues on anyone who owns one, I just recall that one of the dealers I test drove with (not the one I bought from) said that Citroen were having issues with that engine and the dealership weren't recommending anyone to buy one......

Hopefully most get one that lasts as it should and can be enjoyed...... Didn't you trade your first one in as you were sufficiently concerned about the potential issues Chris ?

            Work now....

Given the option over again I would never buy a Citroen/Peugeot.

If you forced me to pick though I'd choose the diesel 100% of the time.

So looks like I need to get looking for an eHDi at around the 10k mark... anyone spots anything it'd be appreciated! .

Thanks for the input! Its a shame it only had 3 months warranty on it... I wonder if I could kill the engine off and get it done by citroen? they'd just put the same engine as a replacement in it though surely .

Agreed- built dates are what counts, as Ive posted before
Still remains that no 155 has had the earlier THP issues, and no THP after March 2011 that Ive seen on here
THP came out late 2009, so reckon they sorted issues by 12 month later ie Mid/ Late 2010

Test drive a 155 cowgirl, and a 115 airdream chugger, and see what you think
                      3 year warrantys are nice

Agreed but you still end up well out of pocket if something goes wrong

How so- if you leave any car as standard the warranty will apply?
The 3rd year is down to the dealer I think
                          And paintwork its 7 years?

Perhaps monkeynuts is considering out of pocket expenses Chris, like lack of courtesy car (I know that not all dealers offer them) so if your THP engine was being replaced you'd have to get yourself around whilst it was looked at by Citroen, fixed etc....

Blimey- I'd be pretty hacked if my OEM engine blew and needed a replacement, and then they don't even give you a courtesy car!
Never not had a courtesy- but always a Chugger LOL Sure they do that cos they know (Paranoid or what LOL)
Would start me letter writing if no courtesy

Well I use TATES in Gatwick and they never offer a courtesy car, they do offer to run me back to work and collect again though.... I remember reading on here that someone's THP DS3 was in the dealer a lot for diagnosis and they didn't get one either
