Hello all ......... Myself and the wife are slightly nervous new owners of a Ruby Red DS3 e-HDi Dsport.
I say nervous as its the 1st time we've owned a French car and our outgoing iX35 was 100% reliable.
My little boys absolutely loves it but is disappointed as he wanted ta yellow one. We love the way it looks and so relieved to be back in a car with a sporty feel to the way it drives. Really shocked at how punchy the engine feels considering its only 115bhp and everything feeling so tight as its new. Still cant quite get our heads round the fact its so fugal on diesel but shifts its backside down the road so rapidly.
I know its not really necessary but want to get near a 1000 miles on the car before really opening it up and see what its like at full chat.
2 slight downers:
Got home Saturday evening when the sun was lower and noticed what looked like water spots over the black roof, which turned out to be marks in the lacquer. 2 hours of extremely gentle polishing and a coat of carnuba wax has dealt with that problem. Not sure what caused it as it wasnt bird crap and it looked just like a car that had been rained on and left water drops marks. I guess in all fairness to the dealer, i couldn't see it until the sun hit it at a low angle and i'm a bit fussy when it comes to my cars!![BigGrin](https://forum.ds3club.co.uk/core/images/smilies//biggrin.png)
My wife has discovered the front washers don't squirt water this morning. The rear works fine and assume they feed from the same bottle. A job for tonight and hope its a simple fix i can sort.
I reckon the wife has read over 50% of the posts on the entire forum and now knows more about the car than i do lol. Loads of helpful tips on here that we have already made use of.
Regards........Nick
