              Thanks for the warm welcome!

Seem the wife was having finger trouble with the washers. In our old car you lightly flicked the washer stalk towards you. In the DS3 you need a positive pull to activate the timer. I just need to lower the washer jets as they are doing a lovely job of washing the roof at the moment.

Is the miles til empty accurate on the DS3?? We filled it up, clocked up 180 miles and its saying 420 miles until empty ....... That's insane!! My old iX35 was supposed to do high 50+ mpg but always returned 38 to 42, massively short of official claims.

We so nearly bought a Zetec S Fiesta, but I loathe them as they look so bland. We spotted a DS3 near the Fiesta in Motorpoint and took at look as it looked so striking. Never seen one inside before and me and the misses were instantly hooked.

Next stop was our local Dealer who's 1st words were "will you sign today?". We quickly exited and visited a dealer in Lincoln who couldn't have been more different. 6 days later we picked a new DS3 rather than a 2nd hand one which we planned on doing lol.

Re the miles to empty, I would say it's mostly accurate, by that I mean if you drive at the same pace/style it reflects how many miles are left in the tank. If you put your foot down a bit then you will see it update and reduce the miles left.

Generally I get 56ish mpg in mine (same as yours), better on motorways, worse on twisty roads when I feel obliged to give it some beans ! On a full tank and a mixture of driving styles I always get 550 miles ish, on motorway driving with cruise control on I can get just over 600 miles. I've said before I'd do better if I didnt have the AC on full time but I like being cold so that's not going to happen.

Before you fiddle with the washer jets try the washer when driving at 60 first!

Very nice looking car. Now you just need to ditch the customary cheap white plastic tax disc holder for one of these :

Good point about the washer jets at motorway speeds.......... will get the wife to check that as her commute is all motorway driving.

Need to restrain myself with the goodies lol. I have a boot liner en-route so the dog doesn't mess the boot up and have ordered an arm rest for a little extra storage.

The tax disc holder is a let down and needs to go!

1st job was to remove the dealer sticker from the rear screen, quickly followed by a de-badge on the boot bar the 'DS' symbol.

The design is so good it does encourage you to tweak

Just looked at your site ........... fatal!

Hmmmmmmm ... carbon fibre look for centre console to match main dash trim, chrome mirror caps would look a treat, mini mud flaps to protect that paint work.

Need someone to save me from myself, the wifes no help as she'd just say bye it lol.
