I do a lot of town journeys during rush hour and i get 28mpg :-( but i get 40-45mpg on long trips which takes me on a motorway.Comment

Last 3k miles averaged 58.7mpg. This is mostly country roads but included is about 1k of French autoroutes at 80mph. DStyle 90 HDiComment

Have done a few more miles than I thought I would since I got the car in early May - but perhaps that is because I am enjoying driving so much !
Happy with this considering how I drive and the engine I have.

First proper whole brim-to-brim is 52mpg.
That's commuting from Chelmsford to Dagenham, 6 days
and couple of just round town trips.
I can see around 58-60 if i take it fairly sedately (ie about the
speeds i used to do in the diesel Note) and if i 'enjoy' myself
a lot more around 40-45.
The WORST is sitting in traffic (surprise!) Unlike the diesel
which really didn't increase with traffic- the little race car DOES!
But, that just means trying to avoid the worst route (A12, A127, A13?)
and that suits me cos WHO LIKES TRAFFIC?!?
From what i can judge, JUST round town shows more like 30-35 ish?
I'm not complaining.... it's capable of being cruisy economical OR
