Auto heater/air con??

Now I feel really stupid asking this question but how exactly does the auto setting work on the heater/air con??? and how do you go about setting it??? am I just being dumb???

Honest question. In the auto setting the car will vary the fan speed and temp of the vent air to maintain a set temp in the car. To activate just press auto and set the desired temp on the control panel.

You can see it in action if you are curious, put the temp on high and get the car nice and cosy and then head out onto the road. Now open both front windows and then watch as the Auto Air Con springs into life desperately tying to maintain the cabin temperature!

Or in the recent hot summer, I got into the car set the auto AC to 14-16 and listened to the helicopter taking off as the fans tried to cool the car down, once the temp is reduced they ease off and you can hear the stereo again
