  • Off for a test drive!

    Hi guys!

I'm in the market for a new car at present, and have secured a DS3 to test drive next week, in particular a 1.6lt diesel 110bhp dsport in white with a black roof (2011).

I am coming across from a Nissan 350Z, but due to change in circumstances i need something economical and also won't cost me an arm and a leg in modifications. Love the standard look of the DS3 so will feel no need to go down the modding route i hope!!

I have done my research on all kinds of small hatchback's, but i keep coming back to this one, and i'm really excited to be possibly buying one, as long as it lives up to expectations on the test drive

Made some great friends on my previous forum and got involved in a lot of drive outs, do you get involved in lots of meets on here?

Look forward to updating you with the news of a new car next weds when i go see it

    Niki

Welcome! Have fun with the drive but do not let your emotions decide if you purchase it. Really can't go very wrong with the 110 diesel though.

          Cheers for the welcome guys

Yeah i made the mistake on my last car of letting my heart rule my head, not this time! Done plenty of research and have been doing a lot of reading up from this forum.

Hopefully this one ticks all the boxes, but i have my little list of what i expect from the car

Hi Missniki- the only mods you will need are those visual ones to personalise it a bit, as all DS3 saloons look the same pretty much- other than the Racing version (Which isn't currently in production)

Been doing a bit of hunting on different ways to personalise the car, already liking the 3D rear light cluster!! But i promised myself i won't go mad, there is a house move on the horizon so that is what the car swap is in aid of! :-)

Welcome to the club, any questions about the DS3 diesel I'll be happy to try and answer based on me owning a 110 and & 115 (sadly the first was written off after a blow out on the M25)

only 48hrs until test drive o clock!

Just been looking up part ex prices for mine, think i'm gonna need to do some haggling based on the initial figures the dealer has sent me! My usual bargaining point would be a years road tax thrown in, but it doesn't quite seem enough this time haha!

This is the cheeky little number i am looking at

The 110/115 HDI's (DS3 Diesel DSport/+) don't have any road tax btw. Emissions below the threshold.

I thought the 2011 model still had road tax of £20 a year? Autotrader puts it as tax band C....
