Whining noise from ds3 1.6 e-HDI

Hi peeps i have a whining noise coming from my ds3 1.6 ehdi when engine is under acceleration ranging from 40mph to 70mph in 3rd, 4th or 5th gear. I notice it more and more everyday day more than likely just because i know its there but driving my nuts, any ideas?? Any help would be appreicated

Sounds like it could be just transmission whine, but may be worth getting it checked out to be sure.

it could be clutch thrust bearing but best get it checked

when you dip the clutch at the said speed does the noise dissapear? if yes then i would say good chance its the thrust bearing

The car only makes noise under acceleration and for a second or two once you come off the throttle. But only between 40 to 70mph. If you dip clutch noise disappears completly.
