  • Things were going so well........!

Well I thought things were going too smoothly.
Got in car this morning and started engine, all he'll broke loose.
The most almighty rattle and knocking noise ( nearly pooped myself).
It sounded like a metallic knocking/rattle from under the bonnet.
A very nice man from the AA duly arrived( within 10 mins BTW)and diagnosed a problem
    with the auxiliary pulley belt??
Took car to nearest dealer(Bristol Street motors) in Nottingham.
Picked up a hire car from Enterprise which I can have for 2 days.
Should I be worried about this or is it a simple fix.
BTW the car drove as smoothly as ever between my house and the Citroen garage.

    Regards Tbart.

First I've heard of this on the DSport. Most other issues seem to all be based around the top-end.

Never heard of this before but I'm not an expert with THP's, hopefully it's an easy fix and you will be reunited asap

Just collected car from dealer and it seems the fix was simple.
They have replaced the drive belt and all seems fine.
The drive home was as pleasurable as ever.

              Regards Tbart

When I asked why the belt had started to fray at the edges( so soon, only 1700 miles) the
chap in the service department just said it was probably due to faulty manufacturing process.
At least the prompt service I received from Bristol Street Motors Nottingham was excellent.
Considering I had not bought the car from them they were very helpful.
Let's hope I don't have any need to avail myself of their services again(unless it's for regular servicing)

Just a quick question for anyone in the know, can I use any dealer for my regular servicing even though I bought the car
from another dealer? I did get the 3 year service plan when I bought the car.

                  Regards Tbart.

Yes...The Service Plan is a Citroen one.... not a specific dealer offer. So any Citroen Dealer will service it
