  • Can LED numberplate lights void warrenty ?

    Im going to citroen tomorrow for a job which is on the warrenty, I got led numberplate lights and that comes up in the obd reader as faulty numberplate lights.. do u think I should replace them back to standard or is it okay ?

    Do the smart thing.

    Buy some Canbus error free LED's instead.
    Problem solved.

    As for warranty. depends how much of an arse the dealers are.

      Lights shouldn't matter though... I had faulty fog lights for like 8 months and my car was always in there garages !

        It would be worth mentioning it to the dealer in case they run a diagbox check on the car and this fault is thrown up.

              If canbus LED's are fitted, it shouldn't throw up a code anyway

                Just swapped them over to originals, ill buy canbus ones off eBay, when they ran the check last week it came up as side light error...going in tomorrow to see what the "engine fault,repair needed" error actually was and get it resolved. Ill let you guys know tomorrow what the underlying problem actually is, as they said it was to do with fuel system or pump. Fingers crossed its all sorted tomo.
