First real driving experience in the DS3

Today had my first experience of the car today. Normally just been doing town driving and motorway. Stayed out near crawley last night so decided to visit the devils dyke in the south downs and boy was it fun blasting around those back roads. Didn't have the confidence to drive at the speed limit of 60 mph for most of it. Grin from ear to ear it really was.

Yes- those back roads just north Devils Dyke are great- weve had a few club meetings and little convoys, around there over last couple years
I visit those roads regularly :redface: :cool: :eek:
And even the small back country roads have a 60mph speed limit would you believe
There is a blind hill that you can actually take off (If you have someone on a mobile confirming the road is clear)
Havent done it in a DS3 tho

Was ok, wife didn't have a warm coat so weren't there long. B&B we went to was lovely, massive full English for me and the wife was given a mountain of pancakes lol.

Always happy to meet up with you sometime when its dry, and show you a few roads I know:cool:
Maybe combine up with a Lucky Sevens meet
Will let you know in advance- you wont keep up LOL

One problem- horses! and sometimes tractors Ha!

Didn't encounter tractors, LOTs of cyclists though

Stayed in a lovely b&b called windfalls. Turns out we were their last customers before being closed for a month

Thing is about narrowish country roads, is that the feeling of speed is so much more
You can be doing 45-50mph and everything seems to whizz by
Gets addictive tho, and you cant help pushing that little bit more, whilst always aware that a quick plunge on the brake may be required
Anyone can go fast on a motorway

Have to agree on how much fun these cars are to drive, I am 50 and thought I had left my 'Boy Racer' behind along with my teenage spots but now I have my DS I have regressed to a 'Boy Racer' with wrinkles and highlighted Grey hair

Yes the :ds3: really does put the fun back into driving. I had horrendous motorcycle crash in 2008 and was lucky not to lose an arm and the use of my legs, recently I've been thinking of getting a bike again as the routes around nottinghamshire and the surrounding countryside are some of the best biking roads around. But I've found these routes every bit as much fun to drive in the :ds3: :cool:
