Hello!

I have noticed when the light stalk is set to auto no matter how much light there is my dipped beam comes on?

Am I missing something here?

If its coming on when its a bright day then you may have an issue with the sensor...but with the time of year and the persistant rain and overcast skies I find mine on most of the time

Ah okay doke, I will give it a few weeks and take note of the weather. I was reading in the handbook that if the wipers are on lights will come on early.

Why not shine a torch during the day into the sensor on the front screen to see if it is actually working.
As Yoda quite rightly says, mine are on pretty much constant throughout the day atm due to it being so grey.

Wrong..
That is the auto-dimming rear view mirror. The auto lights and auto wipers sensor is located at the top of the windscreen my friend. Why would they put a sensor for the outside light inside the car???

It was BRIGHT and SUNNY the other morning.....
but, 'cos my screen was Iced (that frosted/opaque ice ?)
the Dips were on until i'd cleared the screen.
[so I presumed it might be in the Rear View 'black' bit ??]

Is that where the Rain 'pick-up' is too ?? (must be ?)

Yes I did mean behind the rear view facing out... LOL. Went out to fuel the car and all was well. Must just be sensitive :-)

If the auto wipers come on due to rain, my auto lights kick in too.... I'm sure Biggie posted about it before

Probably more that the light sensor is getting rained on as
well as the rain sensor ???
RATHER than any clever 'linking' by Citroen ???
(It would have cost 'em another £1.20 or something ! )
