  • Heating the car up!

    Hello all,

Does anyone have any recommendations on the quickest way to 'warm' up the car on those cold winter mornings? I have a DS3 DSport+, and it seems fairly slow at producing hot air compared to some of my previous cars and company vehicles. I have it set to auto at 21/22 pretty much all the time, although usually raise it to 24/25 on cold mornings.

Any suggestions on the best way to warm the car up would be appreciated, I'm fed up of being freezing for the first half of my journey to work.

Put the temp up to 'HI' ? Obviously you're relying on the car generating the heat so save for putting some cardboard across half the radiator I'm not sure how you'd warm the car any quicker

keep your foot on the gas at all times...

The only way you get warm air is with a warm engine.

You can get dashboard small heaters that produce a small amount of warm air that's plugged into the 12v socket by the handbrake
Think they take about 30 seconds to produce warm air

                Thanks for the replies,

I'm aware that it obviously takes a warm engine to produce warm air, but I wasn't quite sure which the best way to do it is.

Is it better to set the temperature on 24c, or put it straight to HI? Is it better to press the recirculate button?

I was wondering the same thing with the cold. I don't have my dsport plus for few weeks yet but on reading few posts here the leather seats are not heated.
So was looking at these of ebay for winter months.

or would these be any help in getting warmer faster.

I'm addicted to brake fluid, but I can stop anytime.
