  • Debadging help

I have a hair dryer, string and wire. Is this enough to rebadge "Citroen" on the back? Is it easy to do and is there any possibility of scratching the paint when doing this?

Also.. Any ideas of what I could put there instead? I was thinking of having a Turbo badge. What else would look good?

    Thanks

Here's the boot of mine with the Citroen letters taken off. A quick spray of Tardis (or equivalent) over the letters, left to dwell for a couple of minutes then letters taken off with a piece of fishing line. Easy peasy.

I just pulled the letters off with my hands no tools. Waited for a warm sunny day so think hair drier right now.

Wouldn't use wire- use dental floss- PVC based, and wont hurt paintwork. After us Autoglymn "Intensive Tar and adhesive" remover. Marvellous stuff
        Hairdryer helps as said

Badges- had loads on at on stage LOL. Took em all off.

Yeah I do like the look of the debadged back but if I did it I wouldn't then stick another set of letters on

I've debadged the "Citroen" part, looks great! I used a hair dryer, dental floss and then removed the adhesive with Autoglym Tar Remover. I'll upload a picture soon

Mmmm like Andy I don't like the fully debadged look, I think i could live with just the DS badge though.... That said it's not on my plans to do as I don't find the Citroen lettering offensive

Hey, here is Pinky Debadged ...

Pinky debadged but no added chrome by Nicky-Pinky, on Flickr

took a while to get used to so then i added the chrome light inserts and rear window chrome beading made so much difference , Pinky got the bling back !!
