  • Wheel arch liner

Hi guys just joined today had my 10plate ds3 sport since July and I must say it is the most comfortable ride I have ever had in any car..my daughter agrees....

But today I reversed out of my drive and caught the mud flat badly resulting in the wheel arch liner snapping and consequently falling off.....any clues on how much this will cost to have professionally replaced?

If you intended to do it yourself I'd recommend Aidan @ Partsworld (forum member) to see if he can get you the liner you'll need, you could still do this if you have a mate who's good with cars.

    Forum contact: Aidan at Partsworld
    Website:www.Partsworld-UK.com
    Call: 01246 268896

If not I guess a call to your local dealer to see how much they'll charge

Buy it from Partsworld and install it yourself. Just a couple of fasteners to hold it in. Very Very easy.

          Thanks guys!

Robjock drop me a PM with your reg/ chassis number and which arch liner you require and i can have a look for you. Like cyclone has said you don't need to spend more on having it fitted, it can easily be done by yourself.

Mine did this when I first got the car, although it just looks like it has popped out from behind the wheel arch rim. Surely you should be able to turn the wheels without this happening? Mine is going into the garage next week for a few niggles so I have asked them to look at it then. All under warranty I hope.

                1. Wheel arch liner
                2. Radio has randomly come on twice when iv unlocked the car and barely sat in it.
                3. Driver window has gone funny. About 5 mins after I shut it, it makes a noise like it's only just shut.
                4. Handbrake sticking pretty bad (to the point I think I must be trying to drive away with it on), but they told me that's normal.

Re your point 4 I've not heard of this as a common issue with the DS3, mine momentarily binds if it was applied when raining, literally a small release sound and then it's fine.....

Hmm, that's more concerning then, it's pretty bad and still happens when I use the handbrake on only one click on flat ground.

I need to replace one of the front arch liners on my Mum's DS3. If I buy a new ones does it come with all the clips/bolts? Do I need any special tools to do the swap?

I'm experiencing both niggles '2' and '4' - assumed they were normal! Let us know the outcome at the dealers

I got the car back from citroën today, the dealers picked it up from my work at 9 and returned it at 5.

They cleaned the rear brakes and reset the radio electrics to deal with problems 2 and 4. The radio thing has only happened twice so probably won't know soon if it has made a difference, we shall see about the handbrake in the morning!

Can't fault the dealer though, really good of them to come and collect it and return it.
