  • Damm esp!!

What is the story with this bloody ESP!? When you switch it off, then reach 32mph it switches itself on again automatically? Ruins my damp roundabout "Scandinavian Flicks"!

Is there any way of keeping the ESP off permanently?

    Thanks.
    Glenn

PS. yes I did try searching "ESP" but nothing came up, oh and does anyone else find there DS3 very tail happy? Me and my partners Brother agree on this, especially when he lost the back end of his recently and damaged his front bumper!

    According to the manual:

"These systems are reactivated automatically each time the ignition is switched on or from 30mph (50kph) except 1.6 litre (THP 150, THP 155 and THP 160) and RACING petrol engines"
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station….

Simple... I cant afford to run/keep the THP! Just bought a house and had to sell my Mazda 3 MPS which I loved dearly! lol I just like to push a car on, and unfortunately the ESP is a big restriction!

Yeah I'm with Sparky on this, I can make my DS3 lively in corners and roundabouts but you do have to push it hard to do so.... The ESP isn't an issue for me really....

Swings and roundabouts- ESP very helpful in rotten weather, charging around the countryside hills and valleys

Not wanting to sound like a kill joy but you really shouldn't be messing about like that on the open road.

What you should do is go on a track day with you car and that way you can explore the handling safely.

yes yes I know this, the first time it happened I was nearly caught of guard! It seems to be the shitty rear tyres that the dealer put on it when I was buying it! They may aswell be made of plastic!

The dealer I bought my ds3 from proudly told me on collection day he'd had the fronts changed because they were low, I had a look at the car and saw kaiser tyres, promptly rejected collection and had him put real rubber on.

Forgetting the sense of achievement in working something out, manuals are accurate the moment they are printed only. Local knowledge wins for me every time, this forum would be considerably devoid of posts if people just read the manual.
