Where do I get a new bonnet?

My DS3 is less than a week old. Something feel on it earlier in the week and wrote off the bonnet. I am being quoted nearly £800 to replace it. I would like to source a new white bonnet and get it fitted myself. Does anyone have any advice?

Hi HarveysDad. Welcome to the Club. I was lucky to get one off ebay, where it was advertised for £200 recently. (Got it less than that me) Even the same colour as my DS3 too.
Can only suggest survey the internet auction sites, but make sure it is a Citroen made one, there are a few Eastern copycat types about which are poor quality and ill fitting.
Try salavagers, and spend time emailing every salvager (Ebay) you can track down to ask, Good Luck

I would have thought you would struggle to get hold of a bonnet for these. They are still fairly new.

Thanks, I'll have a look. As the car is so new I am anxious to get genuine Citroen. Can I buy one from the factory?

Well the factory is in Poissy I believe- and imagine they only deal thorugh Distributors- but theres nothing saying you cant try

A quick search of eBay gave this up now it isn't white but if you got the bonnet cheap and got it sprayed it should work out cheaper then what you've been quoted

That won't be possible the only place you will get the bonnet is through a Citroen agent. How bad is the damage? Might be worth having the bonnet checked over by a bodyshop to see if it can be repaired. Other option is to just put it through the insurance.
