  • The 99g is dead...

Just had a PIB through from Citroen UK to tell us that the 99g is no longer being made due to factory constraints. It will be a replaced by a new sub 100 k/gm model which is to come out later this spring.

According to the PIB there were only 320 sold.

Well, until I drove Jimbob's, I had thought that the 99g was pretty poorly setup. Now I know that it's just mine that has problems. Jimbob's runs like a dream and pulls a lot harder than mine. No knocking noises, no jerky gearchanges.

I just hope that Citroen put a variable vain turbo on their next version of the 99g, just to give a bit more driving flexibility.
