I am currently considering buying the DS3 and I like the combination ink blue/white top. Why is it that this colour is so rare? and very few pictures are available on the net
    I would appreciate any comments/photos

As far as I am aware Ink Blue has only been available for a short time. Unless you look really close or the light is shining
just right, most people would probably think it was black.
You should definitely go for the DS3 and i am sure you will love it.
Have you decided which spec you want and whether it will be petrol or diesel?

    Regards Tbart.

Thanks for your reply. I am most probably going for the 90bhp HDI engine. I really like this ink blue with white top and white leather seats. I was told by the local agent that there is a facelift coming this July. Would you know anything about this? apparently its just a small change in the headlamps and back lights.

I have also been told about an update coming this year,so I am also waiting to see what it looks like before deciding
whether to change my car or not.
I have also been thinking about the new C4 Cactus, due out later this year, as a possible replacement for my DS3.

        Regards Tbart

Ink Blue is just new, so not much online about it. A few have them on here and sure they'll be happy to share photos!

Biggy might know about any changes. They can't be changing the rear lights again.... Thought everyone loved the newest ones.

Ink Blue is still very new and looks very black in the light, but most dealer will only want to stock colours that they know that sells which might explain the lack of stock.

            Updates coming 22nd May.

Surely they aren't changing the back lights again!!! It's only been 12 months!

It would be nice of Citroen customers were kept in the loop on updates to current models.

I sat in the C4 Cactus at the Geneva Motor Show; be aware that it isn't as 'creature comforts' as the DS3. Rear bench doesn't split and the steering wheel doesn't adjust for reach. Obviously cost-saving measures but to me, the steering wheel didn't have enough adjustment. I'll re-evaluate when it arrives in the UK but those were my initial thoughts. Very futuristic inside though!

A lot of that is due to weight saving in order to max the MPG and lower the Co2 of the car, expect to see more of this from other manufactures as the EU Euro emission rules really start to bite.

Yeah I know and it's obviously important, but there are other less pressing things such as automatic headlights which I think more people would go without over reach-adjustable steering. It's a backwards step which shouldn't really be necessary considering most manufacturers are rapidly lowering the CO2 emissions on their models. I got 780 miles from my DS3's last tank of diesel; I haven't needed to sacrifice fairly simple things such as a split rear seat in order to manage that. Even a Citroen AX managed good fuel economy with a split seat (albeit with barely any safety features).

I think the C4 cactus had to be THE most horrendous thing I have seen. I just find it incredibly ugly.

I've seen one ink blue and 2 whisper purple and they are very hard to photo! It's stunning in the sunlight though Anyone wanting to know what they look like and is near to Leeds really needs to drive down my street - there's a cherry red & white roof, history brown & white roof, whisper purple & black roof, white & black roof and someone is in the process of ordering ink blue with a black roof (I think - it's not confirmed yet anyways). It's like DS3's 'hood
