The issue with CarPlay is that you are then tied into Apple while you have the car, not sure if customers will go for this.

It can be done to support both though. I'm pretty sure I've seen a video from Volvo or Ferrari supporting CarPlay but the system works equally well with other phones (you just obviously don't have the apps etc).

if i was tied to apple i wouldnt of bought the car i wouldnt give them any money to get locked into apples ecosystem

not a big android fan either is a fragmented nightmare grab 3 random android devices and the chance of them being on the same os even never mind the silly crap samsung/htc etc add to them its just silly
