  • New and a quick intro...

    Hi everyone,

I've just ordered a 64 Cabrio Dsport plus THP for Sept and thought it would be useful in joining your club. I'm very excited in getting back into a citroen since my very first new car was an AX Chicago in 1990 at 19!. So I've ordered this Ds3 in silver with infinite blue roof. I've had a couple of VWs and a mini since 08 and with most German euro boxes they bore the pants off me. So I look forward in trolling the forums but with only one anal question ... The 0-60 time for the hatch thp is 7.3. So how can, with only an extra 25kgs , the cabrio be a full second slower as quoted by a Citroen (8.2)???? I have seen independent tests saying 7.4. Anyone have any thoughts?

    Anyway cheers guys

    Kelly

P.s I've just ordered this car last week. Will I potentially lose out on any updates that May or maybe not due.?

Hi Kelly- nice to have you on board
As for being a second slower than the hatch- never realised that before. Cant see why unless its to do with the soft top design.
One way to find out if its as quick as a hatch with the same engine- give it a go :-)

If you can mange to match the quoted 0-62 times then I will eat my socks....

In racing circles 25kg is like carrying an elephant on the car!

If your order is for September then your order will most likely be a model year 30 version.

                Hi Bigfeet

I emailed the Dealer this morning about the MY30 for Dsport, see what they say. I suspect it will be minor mods if any. With regards to 0-62 times I have always really driven diesels with 9 seconds or so and was really quite excited after having driven the Hardtop version thinking the roll top roof wouldnt make much difference as apparently it doesnt in the Racing Cabrio. I have a Golf Cabrio at present 2.0 Tdi. Thats nearly a full second slower than normal because of all the strengthening beams etc. Anyway Im sure it will be nice and quick!

                Cheers Bigfeet

Is it bellone alloys or the dstyle ones in blue? Either way the contrast between both the silver and the grey with blue roof is great Bet you can't wait!

Its the Black Bellone alloys. I believe they have the roof colour in the middle of the wheel behind the Citroen symbol?

Hi Kelly,my wife has an ex demo DSport THP 155 Cabrio and she loves it.
Plenty fast enough when you put your foot down and has been fabulous over the last few days with the roof down.
The only slight drawback is the boot opening which is rather small although the actual size of the boot is the same as the hatchback.
I am sure you will love it.
