Personally speaking I love the white Racings but would be too worried to own one, I need my car every day and I want it to start and run with no issues where possible, for me then buying a car with an engine that is well known on the forum for having problems is a no brainer...

For me the risk is far greater than the reward

        No, simply no.

[QUOTE=The port for the rear line on the intake manifold is caped. Been that way for 6 months or so and every thing is working fine.[/QUOTE]

How does putting a cape over it help? I can see how it helps Batman but an engine????????

A cape on your engine adds like 5 HP, works for superheroes so why not for me?

Thanks all for your help on this!

In the end I have chickened out and bought a Fiesta ST2. (And I know even this may have similar issues as it's this same type of direct injection engine design) I would have bought the Racing in a heartbeat (amazing car!) and I hope to see it released again by Citroen in the future with a stronger engine. I hope the mods you all are doing solve your problem! You never know, slowing it down may actually stop it! The natural abrasion of the valves moving may remove more carbon than is being deposited now with your catch cans and the net result is no deposit.

Test drove a 1.0 ecboost fiesta this week which my girlfriend ended up buying, really really surprised at how nice the new fords are to drive and really nice inside, very pleased with it

Also had a look round the ST and looks really nice, how u find it?
