  • replacement disc brakes for DS3R

I'm trying to find new brake discs for my ds3r, but the only one I manage to find is the very expensive bespoke Tarox breakes. I'm planning on getting EBC greenstuff, but I don't want to spend over 500£ on something as reletivaly short lived as a break disc. Anyone know any good sites where I can find replacements?

What about the original citroen ones. Certainly cheaper than that but Terox are quality.

I was hoping to upgrade, but actually I can't even find original ones online. I could just go to a dealer. They have a ridiculous markup on spare parts though, so I've been looking online for alternatives.

Don't you have specialist independent brake garages in Norway? (In UK there are garages called "Better brakes" etc etc )
Or surely any garage wil quote for brakes?
Before my service, I will get a quote from somewhere for my brakes, then await the call from Citroen and compare (Brakes not covered by warranty)

I ended up ordering brake discs from my citroen dealer. I have to pay 240.7gbp for each disc, and that was with a good discount. My ds3 was just in for a service 2 weeks ago and they didn't check the brake wear. On saturday the inner brakepad on the front right started to make a grinding sound. The caliper has siezed somewhat so the outer brakepad is hardly worn. I said this to the dealer and explained that wasn't impressed with the service, so I got the discount.

I don't have a second car so I just have to drive it to get to and from work, so now I have replace brake pads and discs.

I was quoted £240 for parts and fitting both front discs and pads yesterday at my 25k mile service, luckily they still have a way to go and the backs are less worn...

That's not bad. Part of the problem is the DS3R THP200 has big brakes 323x28mm in fact, and since the ds3r is rare the parts are also rare. I guess that's part of the reason the parts are so expensive.

Yeah it wasn't as bad as I was expecting, I was considering EBC replacments but not sure I can be arsed with the hassle now at that price...

I've spoken to people at my work (motor trade) and unfortunately the manufacturer for the brakes from the factory, just like the spark plugs aren't in big enough quantity to justify an aftermarket option of them just now from the main standard spec manufacturers, unless an aftermarket company can make them such as tarox/brembo etc.

                  If in doubt, flat out
