  • Just Bought a DS3-R

    Hello everyone

I've just bought a DS3-R, must say I love it already

I need to do a few bits too it to make it perfect, just to tidy it up. Not rebuild it

1/ The front "carbon fibre" splitter has 2 scuffs and a really small crack- how do I fix that?

2/ The alloys are scuffed on the orange section. What is the paint code so I can get those looking lovely?

3/ the Sat nav sd card has gone walkies, is there anywhere to get one with paying £130 to Citroen?

    Cheers in advance

    Neil

Latest maps 2015-1. Running this in my Racing.

The Carbon is a nightmare to sort. Expensive to repair and replace.

I use GPS underground, loaded the latest firmware and maps. Just ensure you use a large enough SD card as the data will not be compressed as it is if you bought it direct from Citroen.

Thanks very much for the help folks.

I will get some pic's up once I've taken some.

I was thinking of getting the "carbon fibre" hydro dipped. Has anyone experienced how close of a match it can be?

A friend of mine hydro dipped his body kit to rep lobe version, it didn't match the real thing

^ Good idea. When I got wheels carbon fibre hydro dipped, I was shown many variations of different carbon fibre examples. If you take your car along, I reckon they will get a good match.

Altho it can be protected with cellulose matt or shiny covering, it will still chip and show the base colour. So make sure the base colour is similar

After a 12/ 18 months will start detiorating anyway. Dipping is good, but its not great.

Are you thinking of getting your existing CF dipped or other items dipped to match your CF

If its the latter I had some wing mirror covers from these guys - http://reforma-uk.com/hydro-dipping/

But a wrap might be closer to the real thing because it has a certain amount of texture to it.

3M™ Di-Noc™ carbon fibre vinyl is the most detailed and accurate carbon fibre vinyl film available. It has a matt textured finish and when applied is very difficult to tell apart from true carbon fibre.
