Mmmm - I'm not sure all Racing owners would agree Shiro
Don't know many Racing pilots in Germany with failed pistons (1 out of 35). And I know someone who drove his Racing for 70000 miles very sporty (Autobahn and pass roads). Even his Timing chain was the original one (it was a 2011 Model)
Don't get me wrong I know there are owners with zero issues Shiro - problem is for such a limited number of Racings they've had more than average issues with the engine haven't they ?
I think I'll see how it plays out. If a piston fails so be it, just got to hope it doesn't damage the cylinder if it did go! It's been 8000 miles since the rebuild and had no issues what so ever, and I don't drive like an idiot (you get your temptations which you give in to sometimes). Only time will tell!
Yeah, that's the thing that is always going to be on my mind... If I abuse it, will the originals go again! Just a big outlay to buy and get them fitted!
How much is a new engine if needed ? I'm curious not trying to be an ass ? It's like warranty cover, you never know if it's going to be worth the outlay do you ?
I've seen someone say that a brand new engine alone was about £5000 plus the fitting! To get Wossner Pistons and Rods it going to cost £1100 plus fitting, so I don't know whether to get rid or not?
I'm just thinking about them because from what I've seen, they haven't really had any issues at all..... So I honestly don't know what I'm going to do! :/

Extended Warranty? 3rd Party warranty?
The new Focus/Fiesta' look a lot of fun, they're also incredibly common. Each to their own though.
I think it all depends on how you drive your car if you hammer it all the time I'm sure you will eventually have problems & as to if the piston does go it doesn't normally damage the bore from what I have read & been told
